# Changelog

Every published file with its sha256 at publication — the **immutability ledger**, read
back by `tools/build_schemas_repo.py --check`, which refuses to rebuild any path whose
bytes would change. A digest that moves means a file was edited, which is forbidden for
everything but additive context terms; the correct response to needing different bytes is
a new path, never a new digest at an old one.

**A known lag, kept on purpose.** The `_comment` inside `v1/evidence-context.jsonld` says it serves
schema versions 1.2 through 1.12, while the published pack versions run 1.2 through 1.13, all naming that one
context. It is deliberately not corrected. Published bytes are write-once, and rewriting a
comment adds no term, so it is not an additive change: it would be an edit to a published
file. The generator derives the comment, and the corrected text is published the next time
a term is legitimately added and the file changes anyway.
